Privacy Policy

At outiderUX we take the protection and safeguarding of personal data seriously. This extends to persons visiting our website, research participants and business individuals or entities relating to business information.

This page outlines our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data when using our website and services offered by outriderUX, as well as our policies related to research participants.

Information we collect and data security

When you request information from the website (such as by filling out a “contact” web form), we require you to enter some information, such as your name, email address, and a message. Depending on the nature of your request, we may ask you to provide us with additional information, such as number of employees, annual sales, or industry.

When you access or use our website, we receive certain usage data. This includes information about your interaction with the website, for example, when you view or search content. We also collect data about the devices and computers you use to access the website, including IP addresses, location (country), device type, browser type, language, operating system, the referring web page, pages visited, and cookie information. We may use the collected website data (1) to provide and maintain our website and services, (2) gather analysis or information so we can improve our website and services, (3) monitor the usage of our website and services, or (4) to provide you with news and general information about outriderUX to those who have opted in to receive such information. We share information with third-party services that help us provide you with our services: (1) Google Analytics is a web analytics service used to monitor and analyze the use of our website and services. (2) Mailchimp is an email newsletter service used to send and analyze information to visitors who have opted in to such services.

From time to time, we conduct research studies for a client to improve their understanding of how users interact with their prototypes or live digital interfaces. For these research studies, it is common for us to collect demographic information such as age, gender, profession, education, and other background information. We are often seeking a representative mix of your geographic area or purchasing segment and will limit our search to a specific number of individuals who meet such demographics. We do not share any personally identifying information with our clients. We commonly share first names and last initials and only information pertinent to the participant’s qualification for the study.

In these studies, we observe how study participants interact with applications and devices and interview study participants about their experiences using those applications and devices. We almost always record our research sessions. We may share these recordings with the client, a transcription service, and an online analysis tool. We delete all of these assets within one year of the completion of the research.

We use the study information that we collect to produce research findings and recommendations, and we share those findings and recommendations, as well as the collected study information itself, with our client sponsoring the study.

Our site is not intended for or designed to attract individuals under the age of 18. We do not collect personally identifiable information from any person we know is an individual under the age of 18 without explicit parental or guardian consent.
Our site does not accept any electronic payments for any services rendered.
outriderUX will not sell, distribute, or otherwise release personally identifiable information it collects to a third party. Although we share certain information with our clients, outriderUX will never expose full contact information without expressed permission from participants invited to participate in research projects. Notwithstanding the preceding, if it becomes necessary by law or legal process for outriderUX to disclose your personal information, we may do so upon the determination that such disclosure is legally required. Also, in the event of outriderUX’s reorganization, merger, or sale, we may transfer any personal information to the relevant third party.
